Our Services.
Electroplate [UK] Ltd is located in a 7500sq ft factory
at Ellough in Suffolk. Our experienced metal finishers produce work to the highest standard. With over
35 years of experience between them, their knowledge of electroplating is vital in producing the finishes required by our valued customers.
Electroplate [UK] Ltd is proud to be an NQA ISO 9001
registered company which highlights our commitment to high quality
service and finish. We have an in-house laboratory for chemical testing
and are licensed by MacDermid as suppliers of JS500.
The metal finishing
services that we can offer are:
- Alochrom 1200.
- Anodising in
various colours - clear, gold, red, blue and black.
- Chemi-black.
- Electroless
nickel.
- Zinc plating
- either barrel or vat work - with silver or colour
passivate.
- Zinc phosphating.
We are also able to
supply ELV and RoHS compliant finishes.

Alochrom 1200
A golden chromate coating with
electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Anodising
An electrolytic passivation process used to increase the density of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.
Useful on metals, other than carbon steel,
anodizing increases resistance
against corrosion and wear and improves adhesion for paint primers and glues.
Chemi-black
A 'satin' black finish
with corrosion protection.
Electroless
nickel
A non-toxic
coating used [for instance] in medical devices, kitchen utensils, bathroom
fittings, work tools and office equipment.
Zinc plating
A corrosive resistance,
protective and decorative finish.
Zinc phosphating
Corrosion
protection and adhesion enhancing
for steel, aluminum, and other metals.
